F-22 Fighter Possible 1st No-Fly Zone Enforcer
At a budget hearing on the Hill yesterday Air Force Chief of Staff Gen. Norman Schwartz provided some good insights on how the Air Force might enforce a No-Fly Zone. Note how he mentions the F-22 Stealth fighter being used early on probably because of the threat posed by Libyan air defenses. He also says it could take "upwards of a week" to fully establish a No Fly Zone .
